Hex screw heads

Some screws have six sides, called hex screw. That is derived from the name of their characteristic shape -- hex. Hex screws are incredibly versatile and used widely in construction, building etc. A hex driver is a special tool required to turn a screw. A hex driver can be easily inserted into the screw so that it would no longer slip and strip out.

My favorite part is how the hex screws don’t strip easily. Worst case if the screwdriver slips out of the hole, then it strips and you cannot twist by hand. It can become hard to extract it or even tighten properly when a screw is stripped. This is why one must grip it right. Another reason is that our QD hex socket head cap screw are simple to work with, all you need a right sized hex driver that's it. You need not to find the right screwdriver, or step on a trap with wrong size using cases.

Stripping Prevention and Easy Handling

Socket head screws are different from the standard hexagonal hole, which is characteristic of small hex holes inside a particular screw. These screws require a socket wrench head. They really shine in compact spaces such as an area where a standard hex driver does not fit.

In order to use hex screws efficiently, you need a driver of the right size. The driver (the thing that you use to turn the screw) must exactly match the size of the hex slot in a given screw. QD screw with hex head - carpenter's nails will usually be numbered or lettered to tell you what size driver should fit into the head. This makes it easy to choose the appropriate tool for that.
